I do not remember there be to much cuss words, but I recall them saying rude things, also them getting really upset with each other in the movie, which could be scary for younger viewers. Towards the end, one of the main characters in the movie does get hit with an sharp object, and getting hurt, showing a quite harsh looking wound. As a result, she becomes introverted and shut off from her high school peers and prefers to spend time counseling lonely spirits who have unfinished business on earth. Also fictional violence does occur quite heavily more towards the end, with scenes being more dramatic rather then brutal. After suffering a near-death experience as a young girl, Darby Harper (Downs) gains the ability to see dead people.
